There will be NO background Staging provided. Backgrounds and underlays may be added by the Designer but are not mandatory. Classes 1-8 staged on tables covered in black cloth. Class 9 (low profile design) staged on 16” benches covered in black cloth. Class 10 staged on tables covered in white cloth. Designer is free to incorporate staging properties and to use fresh and/or dried plant material or a combination of the two in all designs. All plant material used in the design must be identified on a 3 x 5 card, provided by the exhibitor and included with the entry tag.
SECTION A –Plenty to Watch
Designs in Section A, Class 1, 2, and 3 are eligible for the Petite Award. (See Handbook, 2017 edition, pp. 43). All designs in this section will be displayed on a black arch with 6” base for each design. All designs are limited to 8” or less and may be any design type the Designer chooses.

SECTION B – – Plenty to Share
Designs in Section B, Classes 4, 5, 6 are eligible to receive the Table Artistry Award. All Designs in this section must meet all requirements of the Handbook, 2017 edition, page 43. Class 6 is functional and should be planned and set for actual service of food. The decorative unit should be in proportion to the (one) place setting. Plant material used may be dried, treated dried and/or fresh and the Exhibitor has freedom to choose other components within NGC policies. Allotted space is 36” wide, 28” deep with no height restrictions.

SECTION C – – Plenty to Enjoy
Designs in Section C, Class 7, 8, and 9 are eligible to receive the Designer’s Choice Award. All designs in this section must meet all requirements of the Handbook, 2017 edition, page 42. Plant material used may be dried, treated dried and/or fresh and the Exhibitor has freedom to choose other components within NGC policies. Allotted space for classes 7 and 8 are 36” wide, 28” deep with no height restrictions. Allotted space for class 9 is 24” x 12” with height restrictions determined by design. Class 9 must also include a 3 x 5 card listing design techniques used in design. (Handbook, 2017 edition, page 78.)

Designs in Section D, Class 10 are reserved for Novice Arrangers only. (One who has never won a blue ribbon in the Design Division of a Standard Flower Show). Staged on a table covered in white cloth. Allotted space is 36” wide, 28” deep with no height restrictions. Type of design and plant material is the Designer’s Choice.
